K-Racer was founded in 2009 by Col Fink. Col had been a race team manager and kart chassis designer for a number of years, having also operated Phoenix Race Karts, a business which gave the Australian karting scene a much needed shake-up. His work in chassis design (and his training as a mechanical engineer) combined to make him one of Australia's foremost experts on kart chassis setup.
Thanks to excellent customer service and the world-famous technical videos, K-Racer grew to become the busiest online kart shop in Australia. In 2015, tired of spending all day packing boxes and unable to provide the service he wanted, Col and K-Racer formed a new partnership with DPE Kart Technology. With the largest warehouse of karting goods in the southern hemisphere and a similar commitment to excellent customer service, DPE was the ideal partner to help K-Racer grow. Col is now back doing what he loves - helping others improve their kart setup knowledge - while your orders and packed and despatched with clinical efficiency direct from the DPE warehouse.
We want to provide the BEST resource for kart setup and technical knowledge on the web, with the most comprehensive and competitive kart shop built in. We decided that many facets of karting are far too difficult to put into written word, and are best explained in person – or the next best thing – on video!
We want to help you get the best bang for your buck in karting by helping you decide what you really need, and what is just “extra crap” that the industry invented to separate you from your money.

There are two ways to purchase goods in the K-Racer Store, you can either transfer funds via direct deposit, or pay via credit card.
If you select the “Direct Deposit” option during checkout, you will be sent an email with our bank details when you confirm your order. This email also includes your Order Number, and we ask you to use this order number and your surname as the transfer description so that we can identify your payment. We will only send goods once funds are cleared into our account.
If you choose to pay by credit card, please ensure the billing address for your account matches that of your credit card as this may be checked for security purposes. You can fill in your credit card details on our site with confidence, safe in the knowledge that we use SSL encryption to protect your data.
You can shop in the K-Racer Store with total confidence. Our checkout process is protected by SSL (secure socket layer) encryption technology, which keeps your personal information totally safe. People worldwide now spend hundreds of billions of dollars annually, and shopping on the internet is just as safe from fraud as using your credit card at the supermarket.
K-Racer takes your privacy very seriously. Any and all information you enter on our site will be used in the strictest confidence. Your details will never be released or distributed to any other entity. If you choose to receive marketing materials from us (an option when creating an account), we hope you will find them informative, entertaining, and above all – worth reading. If you don’t wish to receive them any more, simply unsubscribe (and let us know why, if you don’t mind).
We use Star Track Express and Australia Post to distribute goods around Australia. All consignments are accompanied by a tracking number which is emailed to you when the goods are despatched, to allow you to track the progress of your delivery.
As you will usually be required to sign for your parcel, it’s best if you make your delivery address a commercial address that will have someone available to receive and sign for your goods. If no-one is available to sign for your goods the consignment will be returned to the depot and may be held for collection there.
The best news is, if you get your order to us by lunchtime, we pretty much always ship the same day!
K-Racer is just like a normal “bricks and mortar” shop, but based on the internet. We offer a 30 day guarantee against faulty goods and/or items damaged in transit. If you have received a damaged or non-functioning item, please alert our service team. We’ll liase with you to arrange returning the item to us for replacement. We also allow returns on most items even if you’ve just changed your mind, but you’ll have to cover the freight bill to return it.
We only accept unwanted goods returned if they are in unopened and resaleable condition (with the exception of goods that arrived “DOA” of course). Please don’t return items that have been used, as we cannot offer a refund on these goods. We offer store credit for the full value of the goods returned (ie, we don’t charge a restocking fee of any sort), though you will have to cover the freight costs of delivering your replacement goods to you.
